PuntoGal took part last week in a meeting held in Leewarden, Friesland, which brought together the main domains that represent cities, regions, languages, and cultures across Europe, all grouped under the GeoTLDGroup.

The summer of 2025 kicked off, as tradition dictates, with FunFunFun—the veteran Santiago-based event that has become a benchmark showcase for illustration, comics, music, and alternative publishing. This fair marked the beginning of a season full of diverse, open, and participatory cultural offerings.

All attendees unanimously approved the management and the 2025 budget. The 2024 financial closing was also approved.

Around 3,000 children take part in the activities of the PuntoGal Gaelic Schools, and the team Estrela Supernova was crowned European champion in the cadet category. The Galician Cup, held in Ribeira, set a new registration record with 20 teams and 300 male and female players.

Experts from the Museo do Pobo Galego, AETG/COETG, and PuntoGal highlight that making traditional material available helps emerging artists incorporate these pieces into contemporary creations and bring this heritage closer to the public.

PuntoGal and the Professional Association of Computer Engineering of Galicia (CPEIG) are collaborating in this edition, which will take place at the Higher Technical School of Engineering at USC from 10 a.m.
