A Coruña, April 9, 2026 · The presidents of PuntoGal, Manuel González González, and of the Galician Association of Illustration Professionals (AGPI), Laura Romero, signed a collaboration agreement through which AGPI commits to promoting the use of the domain through its communication channels and supporting the activities carried out by PuntoGal. PuntoGal and AGPI

PuntoGal, which now exceeds 7,700 domains, aims to “support initiatives like this one that facilitate and promote the creation of content in Galician, contributing to the internet a vision of the diversity and richness of creation in our language,” in the words of PuntoGal’s CEO, Darío Janeiro. According to Janeiro, “partnerships are always a way to increase the value and relevance of communication initiatives, at a time when platforms seem to dominate over creators and communicators.”

For his part, Augusto Metztli, vice president of AGPI, expressed his gratitude for PuntoGal’s collaboration in an initiative that “is, in my view, a way of expanding the connection to territory and the local sphere into the digital space. From a sector that is rapidly developing and expanding, and that gains recognition year after year as a fundamental communication tool within society, we want to express our thanks.”

The agreement between both entities includes the possibility for members to purchase a .gal domain at the reduced price of 13 euros plus VAT through participating registrars.
